Does anyone know what these black circles in the middle of the Egyptian desert are? I could guess that the green ones are some sort of irrigated vegitation (in the desert?)

I think they are test targets for US spy satellites with lasers. ;)
I could see them possibly being the roofs of oil repositories -- the massive cylindrical sort you see in the industrial areas of Portland. That could explain why they're so evenly spaced out: maybe there's a requirement that they be spaced X-many yards away from each other, in case of fire.
I was hoping black holes.

black holes are somewhere in the pacific northwest, not the middle east or africa.
did you look at the scale of those things? they're close to a mile in diameter. Some of them look faded, like they're covered by soil/sand.
