black circles?

Does anyone know what these black circles in the middle of the Egyptian desert are? I could guess that the green ones are some sort of irrigated vegitation (in the desert?)

I think they are test targets for US spy satellites with lasers. ;)

I could see them possibly being the roofs of oil repositories -- the massive cylindrical sort you see in the industrial areas of Portland. That could explain why they're so evenly spaced out: maybe there's a requirement that they be spaced X-many yards away from each other, in case of fire.

black holes are somewhere in the pacific northwest, not the middle east or africa.

did you look at the scale of those things? they're close to a mile in diameter. Some of them look faded, like they're covered by soil/sand.
